First Baptist Christian School is committed to providing its students with a high-quality, academically challenging education from a Christ-centered perspective. In order to accomplish this goal, we use a combination of curriculum materials from several Christian publishers. Our first and foremost textbook is the Bible. God’s Word is truth and that truth is the foundation for all other learning.
The nurturing atmosphere cultivated within the FBCS community encourages each student in the development of his/her gifts and abilities. The teachers and staff model Christ daily before the students, developing meaningful relationships with each one through extra academic help, personal accountability, encouragement, consistent discipline and faithful prayer support.
FBCS is also dedicated to partnering with parents to assist them in their God-given responsibility to train their children. Feedback from parents is welcomed, involvement is encouraged, and partnership is embraced. Parents of all denominations, and even those who are not church-going but who agree to having their children taught according to FBCS’s philosophy and statement of faith, are welcome to enroll their children.
First Baptist Christian School is proudly an ACSI member, demonstrating our commitment to excellence in both academics and spiritual growth. Our curriculum is academically rigorous and designed to develop strong critical thinking skills in students through a variety of learning approaches. Portions of our curriculum are used in honors programs at other schools, ensuring that our students are well-prepared and challenged in their learning.
PreKindergarten
Our PreKindergarten program provides a loving, faith-based foundation where children learn about God’s love and creation through hands-on activities, structured play, and sensory experiences. Each day is thoughtfully planned to keep children engaged and learning through movement, music, art, and exploration.

Kindergarten
Kindergarten is an exciting journey where students grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Our program focuses on sparking a love for learning and for Jesus, with a strong emphasis on literacy as children begin reading early in the year through a phonics-based approach. Each child progresses at their own pace, with support for varied learning needs.

Elementary School
The elementary years are a time of growth, discovery, and spiritual foundation. Each day begins with biblical instruction and continues with academic learning woven through the lens of God’s truth. From reading selections that highlight godly character to history taught as “His story,” and science that uncovers the wonders of God’s creation, faith and learning are deeply connected in every subject.

Middle School
Middle school is a pivotal time of growth, where students transition from childhood to young adulthood. We guide them through this season by combining strong academic instruction with intentional spiritual mentoring. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their faith and learning, developing a personal Christian worldview rooted in biblical truth.

Biblical Integration in Christian Education
Our Bible classes systematically teach our students about the Bible and the historic Christian Faith. Not only do students have a class each day in which they study the Bible, but all of our other classes in the curriculum seek to integrate the Bible into the lessons. Beginning in kindergarten, students are required to memorize key Bible verses each week.
