“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6
At First Baptist Christian School, kindergarten is a joyful adventure filled with learning, discovery, and spiritual growth. Our mission is to spark a lifelong love for learning and a deep love for Jesus, giving each child a strong foundation for future academic and personal success.

A Focus on Literacy and Faith
Learning to read is a major milestone—and because God reveals Himself through His written Word, literacy is a core focus of our program. Using a phonics-based approach, students begin with learning the sounds of vowels and consonants and quickly move into blends and simple words. By early October, most students are reading books, each progressing at their own pace. While some quickly move on to chapter books, others receive the support and encouragement they need to build confidence and fluency.

A Dynamic, Structured Environment
Our classroom is intentionally organized to keep young minds and bodies engaged. The day includes a mix of lessons, games, and hands-on activities. Frequent transitions allow for movement and help students stay focused and energized.
Program Schedule:
Kindergarten meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:20 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
