“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” — 1 Timothy 4:12
The middle school years are a time of transition—both challenging and deeply rewarding. Students begin moving from childhood toward young adulthood, craving more independence while still needing wise guidance. At this stage, many begin to unpack the spiritual truths they’ve learned over the years and repack them into a personal, lasting faith—a worldview that becomes their own.
At First Baptist Christian School, our passionate middle school team is committed to nurturing both the minds and hearts of our students. Teachers don’t just educate; they mentor—modeling Christ daily so they can echo the words of the apostle Paul: “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
Instruction is tailored through differentiated learning, project-based tasks, group collaboration, and interactive presentations.
Students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems, and engage in lively discussion, not just receive information.
Organizational, study, and life skills are embedded into the curriculum to prepare students for future academic and social challenges.
Field trips throughout the year reinforce classroom learning.
The annual Spruce Lake Outdoor School trip for 7th and 8th graders is a highlight. Students spend three days and two nights immersed in God’s creation, with every activity infused with spiritual truth.
It’s a time of personal growth, team challenges, and unforgettable moments of trust, courage, and faith.
