Applying to First Baptist Christian School

We’re excited that you’re considering First Baptist Christian School (FBCS) for your child’s education! Below is a step-by-step guide to help you through our admissions process.

Age Requirements

Kindergarten

Children must be 5 years old by August 31 of the year they are entering Kindergarten.

PreKindergarten

Children must be 4 years old by August 31 of the year they are entering PreK.

How to Apply

Step 1: Visit Us

The best way to discover if FBCS is the right fit for your family is to see our school in person!

During your visit, you’ll meet our Administrator, tour classrooms, and learn about our academic programs, athletics, the arts, and student life. If the weather is nice, you’ll also get to explore our outdoor spaces and playground.

Step 2: Submit Your Application

Once you’ve decided that Christian education is the right choice for your family, it’s time to apply.

What to Submit

  • Completed Application for Admission
  • $100 non-refundable application fee (per family)
  • Signed Family Agreement
  • Copy of your child’s birth certificate
  • Medical records (including immunizations)

For help with the application process, contact us at info@fbcsweymouth.org or call 781-335-6232.

Step 3: Student Shadow Day & Entrance Testing

We want your child to experience life at FBCS!
Students entering grades K–8 will participate in a Shadow Day, spending time in a classroom with a student buddy.

Entrance Testing is also part of the process for K–8 applicants:

  • Grades K–4: Testing (reading, language arts, and math) is done during the Shadow Day.
  • Grades 5–8: Testing may be scheduled on a separate day, depending on availability.

Step 4: Family Interview

After your application and testing are complete, our Administrator will schedule a family interview at the school. This is a chance for us to learn more about your family and answer any questions you may have about FBCS.

We recommend that both parents/guardians attend.
Students entering grades 5–8 should attend. Students entering PreK–4 are welcome but not required to join.

Step 5: Decision & Enrollment

Once the interview is complete, your application will be reviewed, and you’ll receive an admissions decision. If accepted, you’ll move on to enrollment, which includes:

  • Completing registration paperwork
  • Setting up your tuition account
  • Finalizing your child’s place in the classroom

We look forward to getting to know your family and partnering with you in your child’s education!
